“Well known pop, rock, blues, and light jazz… like Boston, Mark Cohn, James Taylor, Three Dog Night, The Beatles, Steam, Linda Ronstadt, The Kingston Trio, The Temptations, Eric Clapton, Badfinger, Orleans, Abba, Cyndi Lauper, George Michael… performed a cappella? As in, no instruments? Uh-huh. So… what do you really do?”

Yeah, we get that a lot. But that's what we really do. Contemporary a cappella. And you’re gonna love it. Click to hear us. Okay, while they’re busy clicking, we should mention that Tuckermans at 9 has entertained audiences of all ages from Boston and Massachusetts’ South Shore to Lewiston, Maine, and in New Hampshire from Portsmouth to Nashua and into the Lakes Region. Our voices make all the music. No instruments or pre-recorded instrumental tracks are ever used. Everything you hear, from the vocals to what sounds a bit like electric guitars or brass, is just us. Even the drums. No, really; cross our hearts and hope to die.

Tuckermans at 9 was conceived April 2004 on our baritone's living room floor (sadly, not as much fun as it sounds) and premiered the following September at a popular Boston-area venue. Okay, so it was the Somerville, Massachusetts, Red Line T Station... picky, picky. We're Walt, Mark, Bill, Ashley, Frances, Daryl, and Kam. Arguably normal people with day jobs from Brentwood, Dover, Durham, Greenland, New Durham, and Nashua, New Hampshire. Oh, Kam hails from Lebanon, Maine, but just to get attention.

Anyway, we'd have a lot of fun singing for you! Check out Upcoming Gigs to see where we'll be next. Or call or email us to arrange a private performance. Birthday/anniversary parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, wedding/divorce celebrations… we have a lot of fun on stage and it’s contagious for the audience! And our dirty little secret? We'll keep singing til local law enforcement shows up… and you can actually afford us!

"You have mad vocal percussion!"
